Six Senses Hotels Resorts and Spas has announced the brand’s much anticipated urban debut with the opening of Six Senses New York.
Located between the Manhattan High Line and the Hudson River, the development project by HFZ Capital Group is located on 10th Avenue, encompassing the entire block between 17th and 18th streets in the heart of the city’s vibrant and artsy Chelsea neighbourhood.
The project, named ‘The Eleventh’ has been designed by award winning architectural and design group BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) and will offer 10 floors with 137 keys beginning at a generous 400 square feet.
“We are setting a new precedent for architecture, design and lifestyle in downtown Manhattan, in a world-class location squarely between the High Line and Hudson River,” said HFZ Capital Group Chairman and Founder Ziel Feldman.
“Six Senses will bring something completely unique to the New York City hospitality space while helping us realise our vision for The Eleventh. As a company we share in Six Senses’ commitment to a forward-thinking, environmentally-conscious mentality that makes no compromise on quality and service, making this the perfect partnership.”
Six senses New York is set open in 2019.
