We would like to say a huge happy birthday to The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah who is 11 years old this month. We have worked with this Ubud hotel for many years and can see it is one of the coolest in Bali offering everything from morning yoga sessions to adventures through a sacred monkey forest.
As a birthday present to itself, The Chedi Club has refurbished its most spectacular room; the Hadiprana Villa. Tanah Gajah’s founder and owner, Hendra Hadiprana first built this one-of-a-kind two-bed luxury villa as the main accommodation for him and his wife. This stunning suite features some of the most breath-taking paintings, antiques and artefacts from his extensive private collection, all set in over 570 square metres of space.
“It’s a sanctuary within a sanctuary,” said the hotel’s general manager, Alain Bachmann. “The place turned out so well, I’m not sure there wasn’t a little magic stirred into all that carpentry.”
The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah is one of the most unique hotels in Ubud surrounded by rice paddies and close to surrounding temples, a sprawling monkey sanctuary and the artistic town of Ubud- a haven for artists, sculptors and craftsmen.
The growth in the travel industry for real experiences, culture, health and wellness and food experiences has meant Ubud has grown over the past few years. With a growing reputation for being the ‘coolest place in Bali‘, many of the luxury hotel brands have moved in looking to replicate the success of The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah.
For us at Kingsland Linassi, the team at The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah has been a joy to work with and together we have created an extensive wedding guide, a detailed infographic and various other projects still to be released. We wish them all the best and another 11 years of success.
